Unlike other password administrators that need dull cut and paste or drag and drop actions to add your passwords, KeyPass writes the passwords for you when a user defined "hot key" is used. As such, it works with any browser or program, containing web browsers, terminal emulators and corporate services. You are not restricted to Internet Explorer alone.

KeyPass saves all your private data in an encrypted database. The data is secured using 448-bit blowfish algorithm and a general password is needed to unlock the data in the database. You can be sure that you are the only person who has access to secret data such as passwords, credit card numbers, PIN numbers and private files.

The program can be installed on external storage gadgets such as small size USB flash drives.. Unlike other password controllers that write configuration data to the Windows registry, KeyPass saves everything in the secured database so that it can be used without prior installation. This enables you to carry all your particular information with you wherever you go. Just add the device into any computer and rapidly access all your data and passwords!

KeyPass is great for big companies administrators to share passwords to users. Instead of making users to remember passwords, a manager can save them in KeyPass, select a read-only password and allocate them to users. In this manner, users will be capable to use the data in KeyPass, but will not be capable to adjust them. Just the manager has the authority to change the database.
