QBlade is a software product which is very well integrated into XFOIL, an airfoil analysis and design utility. The program was created in order to provide a solution for the aerodynamic computation and design of wind turbine blades. The XFOIL integration allows you to quickly and easily design airfoils and calculate their polars. You can also integrate them into a wind turbine simulation.

QBlade offers you a deep insight to blade and rotor variables and include post processing of performed rotor simulations. By using the program you will be able to compare various rotor configurations, or to study their numerical algorithm.

QBlade can also act as a modular system, allowing you to benefit from the capabilities that a blade design and simulation tool mixed with a blend of manual and parametric airfoil design will offer.

QBlade lets you extrapolate imported or XFOIL generated data to 360 AoA, perform computation of rotor and turbine performance over lambda range and wind speed range, browse and visualize data as post processing, manually select the BEM correction and simulation algorithms and parameters, export the resulted simulation and blade geometry data, and many more. The program also provides blade optimization and design with 3D visualization. A runtime database that lets you store your projects, turbines, rotors and simulations is also available.
