PhyML is a phylogeny application which uses the maximum-likelihood principle in order to accurately estimate large phylogenies. The early versions of this program used a reliable and fast algorithm for performing NNIs (Nearest Neighbor Interchanges) in order to enhance a feasible starting tree topology. The utility is very light on system resources and will not affect your computer speed and performance in any way. All major platforms are supported by this application.
