Peerio is an utility designed in order to make easy and accessible secure messaging and file sharing, giving you complete control over your data. This tool bundles cloud storage with a messaging platform, allowing you to safely keep your valuable files online, letting you access or send them anywhere anytime. All the messages and sent data are encrypted before leaving your machine, being possible to be read only by you and your recipients.

Peerio also allows you to easily send and secure large files. This tool is able to confirm the delivery of your files and messages, letting you know when they were read or downloaded by the recipient. You can also remotely destroy your files and data, having the power of deleting your files from all users and the entire network anytime you wish.

Peerio integrates an intelligent search engine, allowing you to quickly find your needed files even if you do not remember their name. All you have to know is who sent it. The relevant files, contacts and data will be neatly displayed in their own tabs.

Peerio is completely ad-free, offering you a clean and productive workspace, without virtual clutter. This software also has the capability of protecting you against spam and phishing mail scams, providing a secure contact verification method and a peer based network which allows you to control who can (and who can not) send you messages. For each user a unique cryptographically generated avatar is assigned, offering you the possibility to confirm your contacts' ID by having them verify their avatars with you.

Peerio will soon be available on mobile devices too, allowing you to enjoy this software's full security wherever you are and giving you the possibility to sync your data and files across all your portable devices.

In order to properly run, Peerio must be installed on a computer which has Internet access. Both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems are supported.
