PDF-ShellTools 3.3.0

PDF-ShellTools is a tool that extend the Microsoft Windows Shell and offers access to numerous tools to work with PDF documents straight from the Shell environment.

With it you can perform many popular tasks with PDF documents, and without the need to start Adobe Acrobat or any other PDF desktop program.

Straight from the Microsoft Windows Shell is practical but from time to time it is better if you can control the power the tools offered from batch and script operations, or even, from another program. To enable that it also grants a command line and DLL interface.

The actual implementation includes the tools:

- PDF-InfoTip - Show file metadata info in shell Infotip balloons.
- PDF-InfoEdit - Files property sheet to edit the metadata info.
- Preview Handler Tools - Edit, view, and capture metadata, directly from the Microsoft Windows Explorer preview pane. Simply complete the metadata properties, extracting text or OCRing page snapshots of the text to extract.
- Insert, Append, Attach on Drop - Insert, attach or append compatible documents to a PDF file, by drag dropping it to that PDF file.
- Column Handler - Compatible in Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP, offers the capability to add fresh columns to the specifics view of Microsoft Windows Explorer details view pane, in your case to show PDFs metadata fields.
- Property Handler - Introduced in Microsoft Windows Vista, this effective extension offers Shell read and write access to, in your case, PDFs metadata. It is used by the Microsoft Windows shell to display, sort and group by metadata properties in Microsoft Windows Explorer columns, info tip balloons, file dialogs, personalize metadata from the explorer, and file information, details panes.
