Jamulus is a lightweight and open source software solution designed for musicians, that will offer them the possibility to perform jam sessions in real time over the web. An existing Jamulus server will gather audio data from each client, will mix the received data, and then the mix will be sent back to each client.
In addition, Jamulus comes with an integrated chat feature, allowing users to exchange messages while performing jam sessions. You have the possibility to tweak various options and parameters, such as audio channels, buffer delay, and many more.
Jamulus requires a minimum Internet speed of 200 kbps in order to run properly. The ping time from your machine and server should be pf maximum 40 ms.
