Hostess is a free and lightweight application which helps you better maintain your HOSTS file. The program is aimed mainly at ad-blocking and will store your host entries into a database. The program will index the database in order to find and remove duplicate entries and to simplify the search. You have the possibility to group the stored hosts for easier handling and maintenance.
Hostess does not require installation and will not create additional entries in the system registry. The application can be also used directly from a removable drive, since its settings are stored in the program's directory. This tool is not aimed at inexperienced users.
