Gtk# is a collection of tools for the .NET framework and Mono that were reunited under a Graphical User Interface. The installers designed for the .NET Framework will offer to .NET developers all the tools needed to create and execute Gtk#-based applications. The installers includes the same collection of libraries that are used by the developers to build UNIX applications on Mono.
The applications that were built using this toolkit do not require Mono to run properly. On Unix and Linux systems the code will run directly if the application is a 100% .NET and P/Invoke is not used to call into Win32 functions.
