GetWindowText is a portable and lightweight utility which enables you to easily read and copy text from any window, including error messages, Windows forms and Explorer windows. The program allows you to easily handle the text displayed in various windows.
GetWindowText is able to recognize text in a wide variety of window types, such as Edit, Static, Controls, Groupbox, and many others. The application also supports combo boxes, directory trees (e.g. SysTreeView32) and list views (SysListView32). This small application comes with a simple interface and is able to read the entire content of a window. The utility is completely free.
