Cryptomator is a free and simple utility that offers client-side encryption for your cloud data and files. The program can be used with any cloud service provider, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or any other storage.
Cryptomator will create an encrypted Vault that can be saved in the same location where you keep your cloud files. You can open the vault as a virtual drive from the program's interface and you have the possibility to easily add files by copying them or by moving them with Windows File Explorer. Any file placed on the virtual drive will be encrypted and synchronized with your cloud storage.
Cryptomator will not generate an encrypted container and will encrypt the files individually. This offers you the possibility to edit only some files and only the modified files will be synced with your cloud account. The program uses powerful AES encryption in order to protect your files. You can also use the application to securely store files on your local drive or removable USB drives.
