Blackjack is a card game which is also known as Pontoon or Twenty-One. This is one of the most popular casino games all over the World. The game's popularity is due to a blend of luck with various elements of skill. The game has its origin in the vingt-et-un card game, which was very popular in French casinos around 1700. The French version wasn't offering any bonuses.
Later, when Balcjack was introduced in the United States, the gambling houses offered various bonuses in order to raise the popularity of the game. If the player's hand consisted of a black jack and the ace of spades, the gambling houses would offer a 10-to-1 bonus. This hand was known as Blackjack, and the name of the game derives from here.
