Autoplot is a lightweight and interactive browser for data on the Internet which was developed to provide fast and efficient browsing of metadata and data files which are often found on the web. The application is able to read several ASCII formats, such as Binary tables, NcML, Cluster Exchange Format, OpenDAP, TSDS, Excel, PNG, Complex ASCII tables, Common Data Format, SPASE, NetCDF, HDF5, FITS, Wav, JPG, and many more.
Autoplot will locate the data with compact URI addresses which contain the data location and additional info. The program offers support for CDAWeb server and other servers using Jython scripts. The displayed data can be saved to your hard drive in various formats, such as Common Data Format, ASCII, and many others. You can also plot the data as PDF, PNG or SVG.
Autoplot can run as a server side, client side or as an applet.
