ANSI codes are commands are integrated in a text stream to add formatting information into this text. These codes are elucidated by terminal emulators like xterm or Putty.
Ansifilter is capable of parsing ANSI codes in order to delete them or to transform them to another colored text file format, such as TeX, HTML, RTF, LaTeX, Pango or BBCode.
The program is available as a command line interface as well:
ansifilter ansifile.txt will offer:
