Amidst is a free and lightweight tool tat offers you the possibility to view Minecraft worlds without having to create them. The program is able to save images of the map, render maps from a certain version of Minecraft and a given seed, display biome data and slime chunks, use saved games, display various structures (villages, world spawns, witch huts, strongholds, desert temples, abandoned mine shafts, jungle temples, igloos, end cities, nether fortresses, ocean monuments, etc), display end islands, and much more.
Amidst doesn't let you view any changes applied to a save game, such as modifications made by world editing programs (such as MCEdit), or modifications made while loading the map in the game. The application is also unable to discover mobs or individual blocks, such as cows, diamond ore, etc.
