Alternate FTP is a simple software solution that allows you to easily access your FTP server and navigate through its directory structure. The application gives you the possibility to upload, delete and download files, as well as creating new folders or deleting the already existing ones.

By using Alternate FTP, you will be able to easily handle complete folder structures on your FTP server. The program is compatible with a wide range of platforms, including older systems. starting from Windows 95.

Users can link to a server by designating the IP address, or, alternatively, its complete name; one can also determine the port to be used and credentials can be added, if needed by the FTP connection. Once linked to a valid item, users can browse the information listing as they would with any files explorer and the program automatically shows the name, type or size of the file under corresponding column headers.

Alternate FTP allows you to remove the length restriction for FTP-path and also provides and overview for your local folders. The program can be ported to Visual Studio 2005 as well.
