AllDup is a small and portable solution that enables you to discover and remove duplicate files on your local drives. The utility comes with a fast and efficient search algorithm that will offer you the possibility to find any type of duplicate files, such as movies, photos, text, music, etc.
In order to find duplicate files, AllDup will analyze a combination of criteria, including file extension, file content, file dates, file name,and file attributes. You can search for files in several folders, storage devices, CDs or DVDs, drives, etc. The program can be set to ignore the MP3 ID3 tags.
AllDup will let you search for duplicates in your music and video files and will display the results in a convenient way. The non-duplicate files will also be listed. The program supports search through an unlimited amount of files and folders.
AllDup also integrates a file viewer that will let you preview a wide variety of file formats and analyze their content. The program lets you choose the unnecessary duplicates automatically. You can exclude files and folders from the search by applying various size conditions and masks. A shortcut to the last original file will be created.
You can use AllDup to search for hard links or duplicates of your digital images. The search results can be exported to a CSV or TXT file. A detailed log containing all your actions will be created as well.
