The program is eady to use for a wide range of web browsers, including Firefox, Android, Opera, Maxthon, Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, and Yandex. Adblock Plus makes use of various filters that allows you to select and block all not wanted elements.

Adblock Plus itself has no range of capabilities; it doesn't restrict anything until you tell it what to block by adding external filter lists. Filter lists are an extensive set of rules that tell Adblock Plus which items of a website to restrict. For example, limit tracking or malware. You can also make your own filter lists. Nearly all filters are open source, therefore many filter lists have been generated by Internet users.
