Virtual Modem is a reliable and convenient application which offers you the possibility to replace you hardware modems with virtual ones. The program allows two or more modem communication applications to interact over the Internet or over your Local Area Network (LAN) instead of dialing a phone number. By installing and running this utility you will be able to eliminate the need to use unreliable phone connections and you will avoid call charges, busy lines, expenses on additional equipment, etc.

Virtual Modem will completely replace the physical modems on both remote and local sides. The program will create a virtual modem on the local side which will appear in your OS exactly as a physical hardware mode. The difference is that the virtual modem will dial a remote IP address over the web instead of initiating a real phone call in order to connect to the remote side.

The other virtual modem created on the remote side will retrieve the incoming network connection and will emulate an incoming phone call in order to listen the modem application. This will let you easily connect the applications over your TCP/IP connection.

Virtual Modem does not depend on any location and allows you to establish virtual modem connections worldwide without additional charges. The application can run as a system service and will make the virtual modems accessible directly on the system start-up without requiring user log-on.
