- Safety log files from firewalls, web servers etc
- HL7, EDIFACT, SWIFT and other structured formats

Reasons why this application is different from other programs:

- TextPipe is compatible with files of unlimited size, from 2 Gigabytes to 2 Petabytes.
- TextPipe's exclusive restrictions control accurately where changes are made. Limit to a range of lines or columns, to particular Tab or CSV fields, among HTML and XML tags, and inside custom ranges. Restrictions can be mixed, for example, to columns 1-10 of lines corresponding to a pattern. Restrictions are important for extensive but controlled search and replace
- TextPipe achieves numerous operations at the same time. Other programs provide only 1, up to 5, or need a slow multi-pass approach
- If TextPipe's 100+ filters don't fit your requirements, you can use industry standard VBScript and JScript to write your own. Other programs either don't provide this facility, or make you to learn a proprietary language
