Maple is an effective and user-friendly outliner with an integrated word processor that permits you to make your own hierarchical trees for saving data such as documents, links, notes, passwords, contacts, or photos.

The dual-window interface, with quick-action hot keys and drag and drop option, eases the building of your tree. Choosing Add Node from the Tree menu generates a new section for your growing tree, which you can give a name or later rename. You can generate limitless nodes and sub-nodes and designate any file or picture to each node. Selecting the Delete Children button will eliminate all child nodes of a selected node. Selecting Collapse All or Expand All will extend or collapse the tree.

Maple exports and imports OPML, regular text files, Rich Text Format, Word doc or docx, Adobe PDF, Windows Write, and HTML documents used by Microsoft Word and other word-processors.

Other features are full control over text and tree appearance. Choose any font from your system, control the font size or attributes. Onscreen you can rapidly boost or lower text size, add super- or subscript text, and personalize the text alignment (centered, flush left, or flush right). You can also rapidly make numbered and bulleted lists, headers, tables and footers. Maple allows you to create custom styles for text - define a font, attributes, face, color, alignment, etc. - that lets you simply use a style to a particular text.
