The professional design uses colors and big icons to guide users through the process of comparing their pictures and does it in a way that makes the application help file nearly unnecessary and finding and removing duplicate photos only takes a few button clicks.
Duplicate photo discovery based on visual information
The underlying engine is so clever it will not only find identical copies or pixel for pixel duplicates, but also pictures that are distinct, but essentially the same. This is done by comparing actual photo data instead of the bytes and bits, check-sums or dates.
PhotoSort looks at your photos in much the same way people do, using visual information to identify duplicate pictures and similar pictures. It compares black and white versus color photos, photos of various sizes or digitally customized photos.
Tolerance level customizing
Do not make problems about setting working parameters accurately from the start. The application lets you change tolerance level in the real time, allowing you to work your way from showing only just identical copies down to less, but still similar pictures.
You can use eight filters for automatic selection of photos that are to be marked for eliminating. This contains filters like SmartMark that allows only the best quality picture per group and filters for discovering pictures with certain name patterns, dimensions, parent folders.
